Welcome to our Summer Seminar website!

Annual training seminars for representatives of the central administrations from South-Eastern Europe and the Black Sea Region, working in the field of European Integration  or cooperation with the EU;  directly involved in the process of their respective countries’ accession to the European Union or establishing stable partnership with it. Currently, the countries involved in the project are: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Georgia, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine.

The long-term regional project was launched in 2000, in order to answer two of the most visible and pressing challenges for the SEE region at that moment – 1.) building administrative capacity, for meeting EU requirements and preparing for EU negotiations & 2.) fostering regional cooperation in the region of South-Eastern Europe. It aims at encouraging co-operation and mutual learning between administrations from the targeted countries and experts from the EU member-states countries. The action seeks also to achieve efficient communication and networking among public officials form the Balkan and Black Sea region.

SUMMER SEMINAR 2011: Twelfth Consecutive Edition 

For twelfth consecutive year the Economic Policy Institute (EPI) organized its traditional Summer Seminar for Young Public Servants “Efficient Membership and Successful Preparation for EU Accession”. This year’s seminar was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria and with the kind financial support of the Hanns Seidel Foundation, the Representation of the European Commission in Bulgaria and the Black Sea Trust for Regional Cooperation.
